At Academia Matura, we prepare students for International A Levels – an internationally recognised upper secondary school qualification. This system focuses on fewer subjects, but with greater depth, high quality and personal support throughout.

A clear structure with six subjects

The programme includes a total of six subjects:

  • 3 subjects at IGCSE level
  • 3 subjects at A Level

This structure allows for a gradual start and targeted preparation for the more demanding A Level phase. Subject choices are made individually and in close consultation with our advisors – always with your future degree plans and personal strengths in mind.

Teaching formats – individual or in a small-group setting

One-to-one lessons

In one-to-one lessons, personal support takes centre stage. Content, pace and priorities are tailored individually. This format is especially suitable for students who would like maximum flexibility or highly targeted support.

Flextime courses in small classes

Our Flextime courses combine the benefits of learning together with individual support. Groups are intentionally kept small, with around 5 to 8 students, so that questions and learning needs can be addressed in a focused way.

Our students choose the format that best suits their learning style and everyday life. Of course, it is also possible to combine both teaching formats.

What is Flextime?

  • Each week, you choose the more suitable of two available lesson times
  • Lessons take place online
  • You select the slot that fits best into your personal timetable

Teaching and independent study – thoughtfully combined

Lessons are always closely linked to independent study.

In class, new content is introduced, explored in greater depth and placed in context. Guided independent study helps students consolidate what they have learned, practise it and apply it with increasing confidence.

Our teachers support students:

  • with planning their independent study
  • through clear learning goals
  • with regular feedback

This creates a learning process with lasting impact and helps students develop the independence that is so important for later university study.

Tuition fees

Costs vary considerably depending on the number of lessons needed and the timetable chosen. As a general guide, a two-year Matura programme is possible from a monthly budget of approximately CHF 1,400.

We would also be happy to discuss financing options with you personally.
